God is closer than you think! Let me encourage you to come out this week to Crossroads Sunday School, as Mike Kramer shares how to close the gap between you and God. Along those lines, Mike Ganiere wrote an excellent piece on his blog Thursday about where to find God: at the corner of surrender and promise. You can read his article here.

She has a war goin against food. *sigh* Tisk, tisk. What I think we need are some higher class pastries as well. Maybe some sconage, or biscotti :)

Wow! Simply stunning, Tim.

"Great is thy fate-fulness" and "Come, Now is the Time to Chow Down"

Maybe close with "Doh... nut, you are my God, and I will ever eat thee"

You will all be glad to know that I've requested 20 additional donuts this week to keep up with demand!

What about our breakfast salads?!? How about a Boston Creme Ceasar Salad??? A step in the right direction, right Hil?

I would be all for a caesar salad. But I want to pick out the croutons. I'm sick of the lousy croutons that have permeated the salad market.

And on the donuts... My problem is that the evil donut snatching ladies come in 10 minutes after sunday school starts. So basically, you're forced to look like a freakin pig if you want the two donuts that look the tastiest. Otherwise, they're gone! What's the deal with the 10 minute donut rule? Like they have nothing better to do?

Bah!

I second Tim's comments about what a great job Pastor Jon is doing. It needs to be said. Leading an age group of 18-25 year olds to success is a difficult task. A VERY difficult task. Problems, egos, gossip, fighting for unity in a group of college students with different ideas...I shiver at the thought of having to deal with it myself!
