This Saturday, join Crossroads as we head into Chicago for a great time! We'll have dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe, enjoy the city Christmas decorations, take in some games at the ESPN Zone, and perhaps make a visit to the Ghiradelli Cafe! It's New Year's Eve done right!

When: Meet at the church, in the south parking lot. We'll leave at 5pm, and return around midnight.

Cost: Bring enough money for dinner, dessert, and whatever you'd like to spend on games at ESPN Zone. If you'd like to get a free game gard, worth about 6 games, sign up for their mvp club here (read details first). To look at the menu at Hard Rock Cafe, click here.

RSVP isn't necessary, but to help in our planning, if you know you're going, please let Jon Brooks know. Jon's e-mail: jonbrooks@oakcreekag.org.
Enjoy the great food and atmosphere of the Hard Rock Cafe in Chicago!
After dinner we'll head off to the ESPN Zone, which features games for every taste, including bowling.

Mandigo and Supita to Wed July 1, 2006!

Back in November, a highly secretive meeting took place at a mid-level steak joint in Green Bay. That meeting, between Greg Mandigo, right, and Joel, the father of Jamie Supita, initiated a chain of events that culminated in a great announcement this past weekend. Greg Mandigo and Jamie Supita to wed on July 1, 2006! Congratulations, and may there always be 'sparks'!

Lessons from the Grinch and the 3 Wisemen

Join us this Wednesday for the last Crossroads of 2005! We'll look at the example of the Grinch, along with the 3 Wisemen, and what they teach us about becoming more like Christ! Plus, $3 bowling at classic lanes at 9:30, so get in your sleigh and head on out.

Everyone survived the roads to make it out to the Crossroads Christmas party on Saturday. Our first stop was at the Brooks', where we had appetizers. Here my mom takes a break from the kitchen.
Our second stop of the night was at the Gudelsky's, where we ate lots of lasagna! It was delicious. Thanks 'mama G'!
Hannah, Rachel & Aaron allow the lasagna to digest while resting on the couch.
Jamie & Joanie enjoy listening to Greg telling more jokes.
Jay, Bret, and Jen enjoy each other's company.
Ziek, the Ditzer's dog, provided clean-up after dessert. He appears to like the job.

Operation Christmas 2005

Operation Christmas kicked off last night as many Crossroaders worked on making ornaments with gift requests. Through this outreach we will be providing for apx. 30 families this Christmas. Don't miss out on being a part of this incredible event. Thanks goes to Heidi Van Weelden for heading up this project.

Coming this Friday @ 7pm!

Join Mike Ganiere this week as we look at the difference between people who lack, and people who overflow. It's the difference between the glass being half empty or half full, and determines the extent to which God can use us. We'll be studying the prophet Elijah's encounter with a poor widow, and the lessons from the un-ending jar of oil! Only in Crossroads this Wednesday at 7!

Tuesday, November 08, 2005

As you look over your life, which word better describes your situation: overflow or lack? Each person has areas in which they lack, and God's word has much to say about lack in the life of the believer! Come be challenged this Wednesday at 7pm as we explore lack!

Sad News...

Back in August, Crossroads Sunday school went through the book 'Understanding God's Will'. The author of that book, pictured above on the left, Kyle Lake, died Sunday as he was electrecuted at a baptism service. Please keep this young pastor's family and church in your prayers. Last Friday morning 7 of us headed to MATC for a little 'trick or treat', handing out invites to the upcoming drama, along with candy. We spoke to around 280 individuals, so be praying this week for the seeds that were planted. Crossroads will be in the Sanctuary this Wednesday, so I look forward to seeing you and a friend at 7 p.m.!

Tuesday, October 18, 2005

Join us Wednesday, October 19 at 7pm as we continue to look at what our new lives will be like in Heaven? Will we be capable of sinning? Will we sleep? Will we be married, and will there be families? Finally, will there be sex? All these critically important issues to be explored Wednesday!
