6.2.6 Worship & Prayer

Friday night was non-stop worship and prayer from 6p.m. to 6a.m.

Many individuals stepped forward to make this night a reality, including several worship teams.

The worship team from youth group.

Mike Ganiere leads worship late into the night. Thank you Gabe and everyone else who worked so hard on this night!

A special thanks from me to everyone who helped with the night. There were alot of people that stepped up and did whatever they could to make the night possible.

Hopefully we will be having another 6-2-6 worship night, and if we do, I could still use plenty more help. I will try to keep everyone posted on whatever may come to be.

Thanks again everyone!

In the interest of keeping to the spirit behind the whole evening, I would take my suggestion with balance. But I think that having an occasional contribution from a pastor or leader would be cool. Maybe a scripture, or a prayer focus, to help lead on particular issues of intercession, etc. Does that make sense?

Basically, from a worship leader's perspective I think it would be pleasantly helpful to have a laid back interjection somewhere in that 90 minute stretch to help provide a little bit more momentum or have a bit of a content-refill in the middle. I had a stack of about 21 songs of different themes, and could have easily responded to something another leader would contribute. If there is a way of accomplishing this while maintaining the whole free-and-open essence then I think it would be icing on the cake!
