Friend Nite

Wednesday night at Crossroads was friends night, where we continued our series on Heaven, and headed to Grand Slam USA afterwards for laser tag, basketball, spaceball, a climbing wall, and batting cages. 18 guests came out, so thanks goes to everyone who brought a friend! Thanks also goes to Amy Ellinger for taking these pictures, and to Jen Rieger for formatting them.

Sunday Cookout

No need to worry. Greg has everything under control. Sunday we gathered for a cookout at my alda mater, Cedar Hills School.

This Wednesday at 7 bring your friends for a special Crossroads. After our series on Heaven we'll be going to Grand Slam USA for laser tag, batting cages, basketball, video games, soda, and it's all free. A great opportunity to bring a friend to our church!

Friday Night Events

Would you like to help get the word out about the upcoming illustrated sermon on Friday? Then join us in the south parking lot at 6pm tonight. We will be canvassing neighborhoods in Oak Creek, inviting them to this life-changing production. Plan to be a part.

Secondly, Kenny Bishop is having a gathering at his new house tonight starting at 8pm, and everyone is invited. Kenny lives at 3655 E. Underwood Ave in Cudahy. If you have questions, call Kenny at 414-477-7259.

Today is our monthly day of fasting and prayer at Oak Creek Assembly of God. Let me encourage you to participate in this day, as much as you are possible. Lately I've been encouraged by various answered prayers, and I'm reminded that prayer does work, even though we may not understand how or why. Remember to keep in mind the many suffering today as a result of the hurricane yesterday.

Crossroads Cookout Tonight

Join us at 6:30 pm at the home of Mike and Kelly Ganiere for a cookout and a night of games and fun. Please bring a dish to pass, preferrably a dessert! I guess fruit would be fine too. Starting next Wednesday in Crossroads we're beginning a new series on Heaven. It's a subject that often receives little time, and consequently we can't begin to imagine what our new home will be like. Come ready to stretch your imagination and set your sights towards Heaven.

Sunday Cookout

Eddie Willing and Frankie Jordan grilled for us Sunday afternoon next to the dumpsters. Thanks guys, and job well done! About 40 stayed after second service for some food and kickball. Thanks also goes to Joanie Wrede for donating the hamburgers!

Of course we paused to thank God for the food we're about to eat. I must have had something in my eye.
